Why should we choose The Learning Lab? The Learning Lab was founded by an experienced educator and parent. We truly believe that ALL CHILDREN ARE CAPABLE OF GREATNESS and it is our responsibility to support each child as he or she reaches greatness.


Does The Learning Lab use a set curriculum? No. We are dedicated to providing your child the best educational support available. We understand that each child is unique and learning pathways differ. We do NOT believe that there is a one-size-fits-all approach to learning. Your child's learning will be based on his or her individual needs.


What are the qualification of The Learning Lab tutors? All of our tutors are experienced, certified instructors in their field of expertise. Many of our instructors have years of classroom and online teaching experience. Additionally, our tutors are vetted to ensure that their educational philosophy is aligned to The Learning Lab expectations. Finally, our instructors have a love of teaching.


Will additional subjects and grade levels be added to The Learning Lab? Yes. We are a growing company. We plan to offer High School Courses, Text Prep and College Admissions services by spring/early summer. Follow our FaceBook page for updates.


How are the tutoring sessions scheduled? Families will work directly with their assigned tutor to schedule monthly sessions. We recommend that schedules are consistent every month.


Do sessions have to be taken in 55 minute blocks? Session blocks can be longer or shorter based on the need of the student. The length of sessions will be set with your tutor.


Can sessions carryover to the next month? It is preferred that your sessions are completed within the month. However, we do understand that life happens and can, on occasion, be flexible.


Why do you charge more than some other tutoring companies? Our rates are very competitive with other companies. We also pay our tutors more than other companies as we take into account that work outside the tutoring session [planning and feedback] is required. Additionally, we have administrative staff to ensure that everything runs smoothly for our students, parents and instructors.


Do you offer family packages? Yes. We can develop family packages. This can be discussed during the consultation call.


Why monthly plans? We like to keep administrative tasks simple so we can focus on the education of our students. Monthly pre-paid plans make everyone's life consistent and simple.


Why autopay for plans? Again, we like to keep administrative tasks simple so we can focus on the education of our students. Monthly autopay plans make everyone's life consistent and simple.


Can I cancel my monthly package? Yes.


Packages can be cancelled at anytime.

Cancellation will be in effect at the end of the last paid month.

Refunds will not be issued mid-month due to cancellation of service.


What if we want to change tutors? We understand that sometimes a family and tutor do not click. If this is the case, please contact us at https://www.edu.mckenzie-anderson.com/contact to make arrangements for a change of instructor.


What are the cancellation policies?

Sessions cancelled by client before 24 hours will be rescheduled.

Sessions cancelled by client less than 24 hours will be charged with NO make-up session.

Sessions cancelled by the instructor before 24 hours will be rescheduled.

Sessions cancelled by the instructor less than 24 hours will result in a FREE make-up session.


Can I hire my child's tutor directly? No. We do require a non-compete agreement for our tutors and clients.
